All Kinds in Motion

It takes all kinds
the clearly dumb and those
who think their minds
are sharp as lawnmower blades
the bent and the square
the not yet ripe and the spotty
strikes and spares
the good-two-shoes and the naughty
it takes all kinds

I hide where you shine
you drive in my semi
it takes all kinds
to fill up a highway
a place for everybody
always in motion.

A place for everybody
and everybody put in their places
the rich against the poor
the highly cultured and the graceless
the interesting, the boring
the differences being blemishes
a drawer for me and you
two rooms for the uses and thems
a place for everybody.

I hide where you shine
you drive in my semi
it takes all kinds
to fill up a highway
a place for everybody
always in motion.
